Bringing physics to students at an early age will help remove the stigma of physics and encourage participation beyond elementary school. Physics is mathematics in action.  Students need to experience the joy of math and science in a fun, hands-on, and creative setting.

This is a beautiful set of materials (Physics in a Box was demonstrated). I think teachers and students will take this more seriously and learn more with materials like this.

We want to open Physics for ALL students. The Physics in a Box program gives something very unique to our students, because it is real!

I have been in education for approximately 25 years. I am a retired administrator from a school district in El Paso, the Socorro Independent School District. I am very pleased with the product, Physics in a Box. And the students are extremely excited about it. The material is very durable.  The boxes are extremely well equipped. The students can relate to these things immediately. Also, the idea that the Physics in a Box addresses the pedagogy of how to teach physics facilitates my responsibilities in teaching content. Here a student can actually see the actual principles being applied as they participate and as they actually do the investigations. This is physics at its best, in my opinion.

For me, I learn best when I can actually do hands-on things, when I can try and fail, and then try again. Physics in a Box helps that, because you can see what to change or where you may have gone wrong.

I would say, any school on the fence about getting Physics in a Box curriculum, if you want to reach every single one of your kids in your physics classes, this is your solution. I would love to have every single Physics in a Box program available. Currently, we have a Mechanics Box. I want the Optics Box, the Thermo, Electricity and Magnetism, I want them all.

Success starts with attracting and retaining talent to teaching, increasing local flexibility and spurring innovation by creating opportunities for people on the ground to try different things.

Physcira physics program is something we’re implementing in our region ,and it’s flipping our success metrics for kids and teachers! More than that, we’re excited about what it has the potential to do that goes beyond improving our schools, especially in rural areas. We already see that it will flatten the remediation in our community colleges, reverse the current 80% wash out rate in our STEM programs at universities, and in seven years, we’ll flood our local market with tech-savvy new workers.

I’m really excited about this program…and it’s really exciting to see the effect this has had in other states. Kids, and all people, learn in multiple ways and the hands-on aspect of this is what really excites me and I think could have a huge impact for our children. We’ve spent the past three years and a lot of money trying to do a different STEM initiative without much result, and I think this change of direction with his (Dr. Glushchenko’s) help could really help our state and our nation with math education.

We want to build a program where students want to be there, and that’s what we are seeing with the Physics in a Box program. Our kids want to go to class, they want to do the experiments, they want to learn. This is always exciting!

Why is Physics in a Box is so awesome? I think for me it was the connection between physics and math. […] I love how my struggling in math students are working on math in a fun and interactive way, without even knowing they are doing math.
