Description:
Physical Science Research Associates (Physcira) is committed to developing a world-class K-12 math and science teaching force in the United States to educate students so they’re prepared and confident about their futures. Our first tool, Physics in a Box, is the ultimate breakthrough for U.S. education, providing hands-on experiments and ongoing teacher development. Each experiment introduces and nurtures real-world knowledge of math and science. Students become eager to learn while gaining 21st-century skills. Our goal is to uplift U.S. physics and science classrooms to the highest international levels. Additional details can be found HERE and HERE.
Last semester, we were thrilled with feedback from teachers who, in addition to using Physics in a Box in classrooms, began to use them online. Many teachers needed to quickly develop a procedure for teaching students remotely and were overwhelmed by creating a curriculum for remote teaching. The Physics in a Box community simply continued using the same tools, but on video. Teachers discovered that Physics in a Box is loved by everyone when used online, and Physics in a Box quickly became known as an excellent program for both classroom and remote teaching.
To uncover further potential, we’re now inviting innovative teachers to use it without cost. The online application process is straightforward and takes about 30 minutes.
More than 100 science Physics Kits (valued at $5,000.00+ each) will be granted to teachers so they can begin a collaborative opportunity with the Physcira team. This will be a transformative development for teachers to increase their content and methodology knowledge while using the best hands-on tools available. Each Kit contains what’s needed to conduct 150 hands-on experiments, introducing the concepts of middle school physical science and high school physics.
We wish you exciting and enjoyable discoveries!
