U.S. Physics Olympiad for Middle School Students
2021 Winners
The Physics Olympiad, which was held on April 29, 2021, attracted 1,012 participants from nearly every state. The historic event comprised two sessions that challenged students to answer questions and solve problems based on current, U.S. physical-science curricula.
The Olympiad Committee not only made awards to 15 outstanding middle-school participants, it made a point of acknowledging every student who rose to the challenge of participating in this national, academic competition – especially since it is in a field that many students find daunting. The Committee noted that participation in the competition was an important academic milestone that provided students with positive momentum for further study of physics, math, and other sciences.
